Jamie Burton
CEO - INNoVA
Jamie Burton leads transformative change in workplaces – with a purpose of enhancing accessibility and creating systemic change for employment of people with disabilities in Canada. For the past three years she has worked with Canadian Council Rehabilitation & Work, CCRW, to develop solutions to meet the upswell of requests from businesses for inclusive employment solutions. Jamie was just named CEO for CCRW’s newly launched social purpose business: INNoVA. She continues to implement innovative and accessible solutions to enhance the workforce and meet the demand of today’s labour market.
Jamie’s personal connection to inclusive hiring comes from her experience as co-owner of Dolphin Digital Technologies, a business recognized as being the first in Canada to develop and implement a barrier free hiring strategy for people with disabilities. Recognizing the value of strategic hiring Jamie founded Dolphin Disabilities Mentoring Day (DMD) in 2011, which has grown to become a National B2B mentoring experience for people with disabilities. Jamie Burton has utilized her skills and connections to inspire a sound mentoring model which has now been shared as a responsible, sustainable and economic best practice. She has represented Canada on global stages, championing the business advantage of innovative hiring strategies and employment of people with disabilities.
