Karen Stintz joins CCRW, as VP of Finance and Operations

Introducing Karen Stintz, Our New VP of Finance and Operations

We are proud to announce the appointment of Karen Stintz as our new Vice President of Finance and Operations.

Karen is a respected Canadian leader whose career spans public service, nonprofit leadership, and media engagement. She served as a Toronto City Councillor for over a decade and led transformative changes as Chair of the Toronto Transit Commission, including the introduction of new subway cars, Wi-Fi in stations, and cost-saving reforms.

Following her time in public office, Karen led ArtsBuild Ontario and served as President and CEO of the Variety Group of Companies, advocating for inclusive programs for children with disabilities.

Karen has been recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2025) and named one of Toronto Life’s 50 Most Influential People and Women of Influence’s Top 25 Women of Influence in Canada.

She is a frequent media contributor and holds degrees from Western University (BA), Boston University (MSc in Journalism), and Queen’s University (MPA).

Karen’s proven track record in governance, fiscal responsibility, and community advocacy will be instrumental in advancing our mission.
