THE ROLE
The National Program Manager provides leadership and direction for all project initiatives. The National Program Manager develops and enhances service model processes to ensure CCRW achieves a balanced approach of both employer and job seeker services. They work closely with the Research team to evaluate the impact of our service delivery. Reporting to CCRW COO, the National Program Manager is accountable for the achievement of program results, ensuring continuous improvement of the program model, and consistent quality of service delivery to CCRW stakeholders. The National Program Manager balances and supports program requirements based on multiple funding streams. The National Program Manager bring a spirit of innovation and creativity to program development, delivery, and grant proposal writing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development and Design
  • Provide leadership to ensure CCRW programing increases accessibility and inclusion in all communities through the completion of business engagement activities, community engagement and best practices in employment services.
  • Lead in all aspects of project design, delivery, and results achievement
  • Identify and act on potential advocacy issues within the community as related to clients accessing programs and services.
Project Funding and Coordination:
  • Work with CCRW finance team to understand and lead program budgets and outcomes
  • Liaise with Project Officers throughout project delivery and complete all reporting requirements.
  • Lead in the development of all funding renewal proposals as well as the completion of the negotiation process.
  • Work with the COO in developing and advancing project sustainability plans.
  • Lead all reporting/negotiating with Project Officers
  • Travel to support all aspects of the projects.
  • Lead in identification of research opportunities and dissemination of research results.
  • Perform other duties as required and as identified by the President & CEO or COO.
 People Leadership:
  • Lead regional hubs by providing guidance to site staff ensuring commitment to CCRW vision and values
  • The National Program Manager is responsible to provide supervision to front line staff
  • Assume lead responsibility to support all official project partners and community stakeholders
  • Work closely with Research team to ensure program metrics are developed and consistent data collection is occurring
Communications:
  • Act as intermediary with internal and external audiences, serving as a bridge to ensure smooth communication between the National Office, other offices, other organizations, and the broader disability sector.
  • Act as the lead for Project Officer communications
  • Bridge as a knowledge hub for direction of CCRW’s strategic plan
Financial Administration
  • Manage all project/program budgets, liaise with the Finance team to give/get additional details as required
  • Work with finance team to prepare for project financial audits
  • Track programs spend to ensure funds are maximized, minimizing slippage and communicating with Project Officers with alternative ideas/solutions when needed
  • Work with Manager of Finance to set budget each year and ongoing forecasting of expenses monthly
  • Manage corporate credit card and provide monthly reconciliation to the accounting department

 QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-Secondary Degree, and related experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a management role; preferably in the sector of employment, disability and/or non-profit.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Experience in staff support and people leadership preferably in the disability or employment services field
  • Knowledge of disability job accommodations with the ability to troubleshoot and ensure that accommodations are successfully implemented in the workplace for both clients and staff.
  • Ability to create and develop employer and job seeker driven program materials
  • Expertise and/or in depth understanding of employment focused case management and employer outreach/ employer services with a disability lens
  • Ability to manage relationships with non-profit partners, government, business, job seekers with disabilities and service staff.
  • Vision and leadership abilities in providing support to business to increase their knowledge of accessibility and disability confidence
  • Proficient fiscal/budget management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to site locations across Canada.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive proposals and reports.

WORKING HOURS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Position will require work hours outside of standard Monday to Friday work week in order to accommodate difference time zones in your portfolio
  • This position is eligible for a 50% hybrid work schedule (not mandatory if office work is preferred)
  • Extensive computer use
  • Travel will be required for this position
