Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM)

In the spirit of unity and inclusivity, November marks a special occasion for Indigenous communities across Canada as it's recognized as Indigenous Disability Awareness Month. This month is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible resilience, strength, and rich cultural diversity within Indigenous communities, while also focusing on the importance of ensuring inclusivity and support for individuals with disabilities. In our efforts to shed light on this crucial observance, we are delighted to highlight the impactful work of the British Columbia Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS).
