Please join us in celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October 2024. As we embark on Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) in 2024, the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) takes a moment to reflect on the strides we made last year in fostering inclusivity and championing the rights of persons with disabilities in the workforce. In 2023, we commemorated NDEAM with a series of impactful initiatives, detailed on our website at www.ccrw.org/DEAM. From engaging online events to insightful webinars, we aimed to raise awareness about the importance of creating an inclusive and accessible work environment for everyone. One notable highlight from last year was the proclamation of NDEAM in Newfoundland, a momentous occasion that underscored the commitment of the local government to recognizing the contributions of individuals with disabilities in the workplace. The ripple effect of this proclamation resonated throughout the country, inspiring employers and communities to join us in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. As we embark on this year's NDEAM, CCRW reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the celebration and support of persons with disabilities in Canada.
