Winnipeg Celebrates National AccessAbility Week

In celebration of National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) and Manitoba Access Awareness Week (MAAW), CCRW is proud to support a vibrant community gathering in Winnipeg on Wednesday, May 28th. This year’s event also commemorates Manitoba Possible’s 75th anniversary—a remarkable milestone in advancing disability inclusion and support across the province.

Join us for a shared meal, community connection, and powerful conversations led by individuals with lived experience of disability. Speakers will reflect on progress made in removing barriers and creating accessible spaces—while acknowledging the important work that still lies ahead.

What to Expect:

Remarks from community members with lived experience
A celebration of local efforts toward inclusion
Light refreshments and networking
On-site support from CCRW staff and volunteers (Antony on sound, CCRW team assisting with set-up and clean-up)

Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible venue; ASL interpretation provided
