Hiring talent with disabilities isn’t just a compliance requirement; it’s a strategic advantage. This session unpacks CCRW’s Recruitment Toolkit, within the Disability Confidence Toolkit, guiding HR professionals and hiring managers through four essential tools that support more equitable hiring: identifying common barriers, adopting disability‑confident frameworks, crafting accessible job postings, and selecting inclusive platforms. Using real‑world examples and checklists, participants will learn how inclusive recruitment expands the talent pool, reduces risk, and strengthens organizational culture.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

• Identify four common barriers that people with disabilities encounter during recruitment and articulate their impact on candidate experience and organizational outcomes.
• Apply at least two disability‑confident recruitment frameworks in their hiring processes, such as the First Shot Strategy or Guaranteed Interview Policy.
• Draft an accessible job advertisement and select recruitment platforms that align with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
