Exciting News: CCRW Receives Transformational Donation from the Slaight Family Foundation

Dear friends,

We are excited to announce that the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) is one of 11 organizations across Canada to receive funding through a historic $30 million donation from the Slaight Family Foundation. The donation allows CCRW, in partnership with the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF), to embark on a groundbreaking five-year collaborative project.

This initiative will advance inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities by:

  • Removing barriers to accessibility.
  • Educating the next generation of disability and inclusion champions.
  • Transforming society through innovation, awareness, and collaboration.

By combining RHF’s expertise in accessible environments with CCRW’s leadership in fostering disability confidence among employers, this project aims to create a more inclusive Canada.

At CCRW, our impact continues to grow:

  • We have engaged with 934 businesses across Canada.
  • We support an average of 640 job seekers annually.
  • We have achieved 93% growth in LinkedIn following last year, with monthly impressions averaging 17,105.

This transformational investment is a testament to the critical work we do and the potential we have to create a more inclusive society.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we are breaking barriers and building brighter futures.

Best, Maureen Haan
