We are delighted to share with you some exciting news: CCRW has been granted consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the UN’s central platform for economic and social issues.

This is a great honor and recognition for our organization, as consultative status is a privilege that only a select group of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can enjoy. It allows us to participate more actively in the UN’s work and advocate for the rights and interests pertaining to employment for persons with disabilities, specifically the UN Convention on the Rights for Persons with Disabilities, UNCRPD.

Consultative status enables us to attend UN meetings, submit written and oral statements, organize side events, and network with other stakeholders. We will be able to contribute to the UN’s goals and values, such as promoting human rights, social justice, and sustainable development.

We would like to thank the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) NGO Branch for their support and guidance throughout the application process. They are the focal point for NGOs in consultative status and they provide various services and opportunities for collaboration with the UN. We are grateful for their assistance and professionalism.
