International Week of Deaf People
The International Week of Deaf People is an annual event that celebrates the achievements and contributions of the Deaf community while raising awareness about the challenges they face. The theme for 2025 is "No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights," emphasizing the importance of sign language rights and the need for partnerships where deaf people lead and others support them as committed allies.

This week is an opportunity to honor the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, promote the recognition of sign languages as official languages, and advocate for policies that address language accessibility.
