CCRW helped me figure out what I was good at and what I wanted to do as a career. Many people who know me would say that I am good at writing and I am very creative. The staff at CCRW encouraged me to focus on what I was good at and what I liked doing and they kindly offered me short-term training in my field which further cemented in my mind the fact that I wanted to write stories. The short-term training, I was offered gave me the skills I needed to begin my writing career and I am very grateful for the opportunity I was given. Since my training I have completed several pieces including a play a short story for children and a poem. I enjoyed my course so much that I applied for the creative writing certificate program through Conestoga College. I feel that first course I took with the help of CCRW staff set a fire Within Me and I am now writing all the time and I hope to be published very soon. I am very grateful CCRW for their encouragement and support in setting me on the right path. I would highly recommend this CCRW program to all my friends with disabilities looking for jobs. They are a very helpful and wonderful organization.
