CCRW in the Spotlight at the House of Commons: A Moment of Recognition and Gratitude

We are thrilled to share that Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) received a remarkable acknowledgment at the House of Commons recently. As we celebrate National Accessibility Week from May 26 to June 1, 2024, we are deeply honored to be recognized for our dedication to fostering a more inclusive workforce for persons with disabilities in Canada.

The House of Commons highlighted CCRW's unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities through our various initiatives. This includes our national partnerships, comprehensive employment services, community-based research, and knowledge-sharing efforts. Our recent launch of the Disability Confidence Toolkit was particularly noted as a significant stride towards enhancing disability confidence within organizations.

National Accessibility Week, celebrated under the theme "Forward Together: Accessibility and Inclusion for All," is a pivotal time to reflect on the progress we have made towards a barrier-free Canada. It is also a call to action to continue striving for greater accessibility and inclusion in every facet of our society.

The recognition from the House of Commons reinforces the importance of our mission and energizes us to keep pushing forward. We are incredibly grateful for this spotlight and the encouragement it brings to our ongoing efforts.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners, supporters, and the broader community who have been instrumental in our journey. Together, we are making a difference and advancing towards a Canada where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive.

Let us continue to move "Forward Together" for accessibility and inclusion for all Canadians.
