Start Strong: Building Inclusive Onboarding Experiences That Work for EveryoneThis webinar will explore the CCRW and Untapped Talent Disability Confident Toolkit on Onboarding, which highlights practical strategies and tools to create inclusive, accessible and supportive onboarding experiences for employees with disabilities. We will cover the key stages of onboarding - from the negotiation period through to post-hire follow up - emphasizing transparent communication, accessible materials, accommodation planning, and continuous feedback.By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
  • Identify key components of accessible and inclusive onboarding practices across in-person and remote environments.
  • Apply structured tools (e.g., checklists and surveys) to support successful onboarding experiences.
  • Incorporate disability-inclusive considerations into job offers, onboarding processes and workplace supports.
  • Implement strategies for ongoing communication, accommodation and feedback to enhance employee engagement and retention.
