Overview
Let’s talk about the digital job search.
Join CCRW for Tech-Savvy Job Searching - AI, ATS, and Digital Tools, a practical virtual workshop designed to help job seekers better understand the digital tools shaping today’s employment journey.
This session will explore how artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and prompt-writing skills can support job searching, resume development, employment readiness, and confidence-building.
The focus is practical and accessible: what job seekers need to know, how these tools are used in hiring and employment preparation, and how to use them confidently without losing the human, strengths-based, and authentic parts of the job search journey.
What participants will learn
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Explain why job seekers should have a basic understanding of AI and how it affects job search, hiring, and workplace learning.
- Describe how VR can support employment readiness through safe practice, confidence-building, and accessible skills development.
- Define applicant tracking systems (ATS) and identify practical ways to make resumes easier for ATS tools and human reviewers to read.
- Write simple, useful AI prompts to support resume and cover letter development while protecting privacy and maintaining authenticity.
Who should attend?
This workshop is designed for job seekers who want to better understand how digital tools can support their job search. It may also be helpful for employment service providers, career practitioners, and community partners supporting job seekers with disabilities.
